Antelope Valley Emergency Department Expansion

Market | Healthcare

Expansion of Antelope Valley Medical Center’s operational Emergency Department delivered a 7,200 SF, 40-bay modular healthcare facility designed to increase critical treatment capacity for one of California’s busiest emergency departments. Constructed under OSHPD-1 requirements, the addition incorporates centralized nursing and clinical support spaces, medical gases, emergency power, and specialized MEP systems.

Sixteen prefabricated modules were transported from Indiana and assembled onsite, with PENTA completing extensive site infrastructure, utility connections, MEP retrofits, and interior build-out. Through rigorous ICRA planning, complex utility coordination, and strategic resequencing, the team overcame unforeseen underground conditions, manufacturing deficiencies, and modular delivery delays while maintaining safe, uninterrupted hospital operations.
