9th Floor Telemetry Cosmetic Upgrade

A multi-phased OSHPD-1 renovation transformed a 25-room, 33-bed medical-surgical telemetry unit within California Hospital Medical Center while maintaining continuous hospital operations. Two model patient rooms were constructed first, allowing clinical staff to evaluate finishes and fixtures before full implementation.

The project then advanced on an aggressive phased schedule, targeting turnover of four patient rooms per week, while two nurse stations were completely renovated to meet OSHPD requirements. New millwork, doors, flooring, ceilings, wall protection, plumbing and lighting modernized patient and common areas, while rigorous infection-control measures and daily coordination with nursing staff minimized disruption to active patient care.
