LA County High Desert Crisis Residential Treatment Program,
Crisis Stabilization Unit, and Mental Health Hub
The Los Angeles County High Desert Crisis Residential Treatment Program (CRTP), Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU), and Mental Health Hub (MHH) is a ~19,800 SF new construction, single-story campus of integrated behavioral health facilities.
The program comprises two buildings: one housing a 16-bed CRTP (short-term residential treatment) and another combining the CSU (short-term crisis stabilization) and MHH (central hub for mental health services). The site is co-located adjacent to the existing Mental Health Urgent Care Center (MHUCC) at the corner of E Avenue I and 5th Street in Lancaster, CA. The facility will act as a key step-down, transitional setting for individuals moving out of inpatient care, urgent care, or emergency psychiatric services, and is expected to serve 275–400 clients annually.
Service offerings include peer support, group and individual therapy, medication support, life skills training, community integration, co-occurring treatment, and robust discharge planning, all delivered in a noninstitutional, home-like environment under licensing by California’s DHCS and Community Care Licensing.
