Working directly with the architect team on this project, PENTA constructed the LAUSD Emergency Operations Center (EOC) at the Edward R. Roybal Learning Center. This project involved the a 7,400 SF facility with offices, conference rooms, a command center, dispatch center, and kitchen. The 24,850 SF site includes an elevated, single-story structure, ongrade parking, retaining walls, two new emergency generators, active methane gas mitigation system, radio antennas for police and transportation communication, and approximately 1,000 SF of underground power, data, and communication pathways to the adjacent building on an active school campus. PENTA managed the estimate and schedule development and updates, and provided value engineering with the Owner to minimize any schedule delays.
